Third you need to calculate the dry weight of the trailer + the average family of 4 takes 600-800lbs with them which has to be factored in + the weight of everything and everyONE in the truck. First, you must have a break controller, second, you need an stabilizing anti sway weight distribution hitch. With WD the Ridgeline does just fine with this amount of weight and is still super smooth at least with our setup it is. I'd say it could be done safely IF you DO NOT fill up the tanks until you get where you're going and, go to YouTube and watch some of the "honda ridgeline towing camper" videos to see other things that you need.
